Kidney diseases affect the vital organs responsible for filtering waste products and regulating fluid and electrolyte balance. Common conditions include renal cysts, fluid-filled cavities that typically cause no symptoms but may indicate other underlying health issues in some cases, as well as renal atrophy, a shrinking of kidney tissue that leads to reduced kidney function. Other conditions, such as kidney stones or kidney infections, can also be precisely examined using MRI.
