Inflammatory brain diseases are a group of conditions in which the immune system attacks the central nervous system, leading to damage to nerve cells and their myelin sheaths. This can cause a variety of symptoms, including pain, coordination problems, numbness, or vision issues. A well-known example is Multiple Sclerosis. In MRI, inflammatory changes and lesions in the brain and spinal cord can be clearly seen. This imaging helps make an accurate diagnosis and monitors the progression of the disease.
