Diseases of the bladder and ureter can have various causes and lead to a range of symptoms. Kidney stones, which are made up of minerals and salts, are common and can cause pain and blockages. Benign growths such as bladder polyps can also occur, sometimes leading to blood in the urine. Bladder cancer, particularly urothelial carcinoma, is a malignant condition that often presents with symptoms such as blood in the urine and frequent urination. Urinary tract infections are also a common cause of symptoms like pain during urination. Thanks to modern imaging techniques such as MRI, these conditions can be accurately detected, as MRI provides detailed images of the bladder and ureters and helps determine the exact location and extent of stones, tumors, or inflammation.
