Changes in the throat and pharynx can have various causes and may be harmless or require medical attention. These include tissue growths such as throat tumors, neck masses, or enlarged tonsils (tonsillar hyperplasia). Such changes can lead to difficulty swallowing, hoarseness, or a sensation of having something stuck in the throat.
A full-body MRI can provide a precise and radiation-free way to examine affected areas. This allows even small abnormalities to be detected early and further evaluated.
